Here's a pony I made up! A unicorn named Blue Shift. Everyone needs their own pony, after all. The original sketch was a guy and had black and red hair, but this is the girl version because shit, I don't wanna draw 25 dudes. Gross.
I'm trying my hand and writing a fic where a guy finds a magic "letter to Celestia" scroll in his bag, and not realizing what it is, uses a strip of it to roll a joint at a party. He accidentally inhales all the green smoke and then goes to pass out on the couch, where he wakes up the next morning as this pony you see here, in the middle of the city in a house full of strangers, and has to, you know, have an adventure and figure out how to get back to normal and all that shit.
It's up to over 42,000 words so far, but I'm not writing it perfectly in order and it's going in some "conceptual science fiction" directions I didn't anticipate, where it muses on how a place like Equestria might be physically put together and how magic and sufficiently advanced technology really *are* indistinguishable.
It's basically just describing stuff in horrendous detail to get my creative pipes unblocked.

It's generally my philosophy regarding fan art to not just copy the original style but reinterpret the various characters and visual elements through your own sensibility, but I'm having fun assimilating various elements of the show style.
Plus I thought it'd be a good drill to fill out one of those "25 Expressions" worksheets.
